The Internet is an amazing thing.

I signed on to my email today to find a flurry of requests for my first place "Death Of A Cyborg" entry in this Worth1000 contest. People wanting to buy it to blow up, frame and put on their walls. One of them was from Frank Warren, the founder of Postsecret, a favourite site of mine and one that gets millions of hits daily. He was asking for a print to put up in the PostSecret office. I'm chuffed! But... the majority of that piece is by a long dead classic painter, William Bouguereau. Still, being featured on Boingboing is a big thrill and made me realize that it was posted there thanks to this long trail of linkies:
BoingBoing.net - one of the top rated and most read blog sites on the internet EmptyKingdom - a "Home for Digital Artists" featuring the work of all kinds of amazing talent Richard Kadrey's Tumblr - Richard Kadrey is a novelist (who's books are being made into films), freelance writer and photographer Criminal Wisdom - another of those cool blogs that posts cool stuff so I'm happy to be included.
Thanks to this flurry of attention I got over 2,000 hits here in the past two days. Thank you intranet!

Ahh please, pretty please, pretty pretty pretty please do a high res version for sale! I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
The artist died in 1905, and other works of his appear in Wikipedia as public domain : "This image (or other media file) is in the public domain because its copyright has expired. This applies to Australia, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years." Soo........ how about it? :)
